A delegation from Baku school №238 participated in the Twin School International Exchange Camp organized in Georgia within the framework of the Olympic Culture and Education Program (OCEP) on 09 – 16 January, 2023. The camp was organized by twinned school with Baku, LTD CERVANTES GYMNASIUM AIA - GUESS from Tbilisi, Georgia. The OCEP, has launched by Azerbaijan NOC in partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the funding and organizational support of Olympic Solidarity, International Olympic Committee and the European Olympic Committees within the framework of Baku 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival.

The overall goal of the camp was to promote Olympic Values and principles among the twin school students by educating them how to bring up youth with the well-developed body, will and mind. 

The daily program of the camp consisting of entertaining and educational activities, has included participation of students in various individual and group presentations and completions on Olympism, sport, art, cooking and other fields of culture related to their countries. The AIA-GUESS gymnasium, as the host of the camp has also organized interesting tours to the cities of Tbilisi and Mtskkheta, a meeting at the Georgian National Olympic Committee along with the discussions on the Olympic themes.

A visit to the Georgian Olympic Committee and the Olympic Museum, a discussion with the leadership of the committee was one of the most interesting activities of the camp. Thus, the visit created memorable moments and pleasant impressions for students. The President of the Georgian National Olympic Committee Mr. Leri Khabelov met with the students in the historic building belonging to the Georgian Olympic Committee. Secretary General of the Committee Mr. Emzar Zenaishvili and Director of the of International Relations Department Mrs. Rusiko Aptsiauri also took part in the discussions on cultural relations, friendly cooperation between the two countries and the Olympic Movement of Georgia. After the meeting, a tour was organized for twin schools to the Olympic Museum at the committee. At the end of the visit, the Baku school presented commemorative gifts from Azerbaijan to both institutions as a sign of gratitude.
