Today, National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan organized meeting with federation members, coaches and athletes who will fight to earn gold medal in Buenos Aires 2018.

The main goal of event was presented by Vagif Aliyev, sport specialist of NOC Azerbaijan, to participants by introducing Youth Olympic Games. He talked about facilities, accomandation, accreditation and üish good luck to participants.

Also, participants were informed about International Olympic Committee and Olympic Agenda 2020. Jeyhun Rahmanov, NOC’s specialist invited them to watch video about mentioned topics.

An employee of the National Olympic Committee, Buenos Aires 2018 young ambassador Sakina Valiyeva gave detailed information about the Games. During the presentation, the participants were informed about the number, types of sports competitions, the places they will host, the number of participating athletes and officials, the buildings to which the athletes will stay, and other important areas. It was also noted that these games focused on fighting against doping.

The event ended with a question-and-answer session of the participants – athletes and coaches.

Let’s remind, the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 6 to 18 October. About 4,000 athletes are expected to participate in the Games. At present, Azerbaijan’s national team has 7 licenses, including 2 swimming, 1 gymnastics, 2 table tennis, 1 taekwondo and 1 boxing.
